Physical Therapy
Pediatric Physical Therapy (PT) helps infants, children, and adolescents develop strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and gross motor skills needed for daily activities and participation in play, school, and community life. Pediatric physical therapists evaluate and treat movement delays, developmental disabilities, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, and musculoskeletal concerns. Treatment may include therapeutic exercise, balance and coordination training, gait training, motor development activities, and caregiver education.
Torticollis Treatment: Pediatric physical therapists commonly evaluate and treat torticollis, a condition in which tight neck muscles cause a child's head to tilt or rotate to one side. Therapy focuses on gentle stretching, strengthening, positioning strategies, developmental activities, and caregiver education to improve neck range of motion, promote symmetrical movement, prevent head shape changes, and support age-appropriate motor development.
