Pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) helps infants, children, and adolescents develop the skills needed for everyday activities, including play, self-care, school participation, social interaction, and independence. Pediatric occupational therapists support children with challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, attention, emotional regulation, feeding, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills such as dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Sensory Integration Therapy is a specialized OT approach that helps children who have difficulty processing and responding to sensory information (such as touch, movement, sound, taste, or body awareness). Through play-based, child-led activities, therapists help children improve sensory processing, self-regulation, attention, motor planning, and participation in everyday activities at home, school, and in the community.
